Reflective concrete deck coating: the most effective solution

What to look for in cool deck coating
Solar Reflectance Index (SRI). This is the technical measure of how much solar radiation the surface reflects. Look for SRI above 29 for meaningful heat reduction; above 50 for maximum performance.
Texture for wet slip resistance. Pool decks get wet. Look for coatings that include silica aggregate or a textured finish rated for wet-surface slip resistance.
Surface compatibility. Concrete coatings donโt work on wood. Wood stains donโt bond to concrete. Verify compatibility with your specific surface material.
