The Tested Hub started in 2024 with a frustration most of us share: too many product reviews on the internet are written by people who never actually used the product. They paraphrase the manufacturer's spec sheet, copy-paste from competing reviews, and wrap it all in affiliate links. The reader gets nothing useful.
So we built this site around a simple rule: every review on The Tested Hub is written by someone who actually used the product, for at least 30 days, after buying it at retail. No review samples. No sponsored placements. No exceptions.
What we do
We test Amazon products — headphones, kitchen appliances, smart home gear, fitness equipment, computing accessories, and a growing list of other categories — and tell you which ones are worth your money. Each review includes:
- Specific measurements from our test bench (battery life, noise attenuation, weight, etc.)
- Honest pros AND cons — never a one-sided pitch
- A side-by-side comparison against 3–5 alternatives
- A clear verdict for who should buy it and who shouldn't
- An update log that tracks every meaningful change
How we fund this
The Tested Hub is reader-supported. When you buy through links on our site, we may earn an affiliate commission at no extra cost to you. This is fully disclosed on every review page and detailed in our ethics policy.
Critically, our writers don't see commission data while writing. The recommendation is based on the product, not the payout. We have a written editorial firewall to keep this honest.
Who runs this
The Tested Hub is run by a small team of full-time editors, each with deep category expertise — see our team page for individual bios and credentials. We're hiring for several categories; if you have 5+ years of expertise in a product category and want to write reviews for a living, get in touch.
